Sunday June 5th, 2016 – Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

I’ve reached 40 presentations of my tour and this journey of total learning has been spectacular, perhaps the best thing that it has happened to me. I wish people would understand all the good things that are yet to come when we simply decide to do the things we want to do; good or bad, it doesn’t matter, just give it a try.

As days go by I prove that talent is not enough to continue on the road, we have to learn to survive on the worst conditions. Being able to give the best show in the worst stage with the worst audio system, with no help, no lighting, and having totally everything against you. In the cold of the dawn, under the radiant sun burning our skin blinding our sight, in the infinite silence, and for an absent audience. We have to get a good way of transportation in order to seal away in this odyssey but we have to be prepared to swim in case we have to cast away.

I arrive to the conclusion that there isn’t a specific way to “make it” in music. Each person must trace down their own road and is in the process that we find out what works and what it doesn’t. I still have 10 more shows to go in order to reach my initial goal, but it is also time to take the next step and focus on secondary aspects that need to get done. Soon I will record my Press Kit Video to promote my project in a more international type of way and being able to tour in Monterrey and Mexico City towards the end of the year. I wonder what the rest of 2016 will bring.

He llegado a las 40 presentaciones de mi gira y este viaje de total aprendizaje ha sido espectacular, posiblemente lo mejor que me ha pasado en la vida. Me gustaría que la gente entendiera todo lo bueno que hay por venir cuando simplemente nos decidimos a hacer las cosas; buenas o malas, no importa, el chiste es intentarlas.

Ha como pasan los días compruebo que el talento no es suficiente para continuar en el camino, hay que aprender a sobrevivir en la carretera en las peores condiciones de transporte y alimento. Saber dar el mejor show en un pésimo escenario con el peor equipo de sonido posible, sin ayuda de nadie ni iluminación y teniendo todo completamente en contra. En el frío de la inmensa madrugada, bajo el radiante calor del medio día con los rayos del Sol quemándote la piel, cegándote completamente la vista, en el infinito silencio y para una audiencia ausente. Hay que conseguir un buen medio de transporte para navegar en esta odisea pero hay que estar preparados para nadar en caso de un naufragio.

Llego a la conclusión que no existe un camino en particular ni una ruta para “hacerla” en la música. Cada persona debe de trazar su propia vereda y es en el proceso que uno se da cuenta lo que funciona y lo que no. Me faltan 10 presentaciones más para llegar a mi meta inicial, pero es momento de dar el siguiente paso y enfocarme en todas las cosas secundarias. Pronto grabaré un video (EPK) para poder promover mi proyecto de manera internacional y poder ir a Monterrey y a la ciudad de México para fin de año. Me pregunto qué es lo que me depara la segunda parte de este 2016.
